Steve Wingfield serves as Evangelist and President of the Steve Wingfield Evangelistic Association, based in Harrisonburg, Virginia, which is dedicated to assisting the church in reaching the world for Jesus Christ. As a highly recognized Christian speaker, author and leader, Steve has conducted over 50 area/city-wide Crusades in the United States and overseas, preaching in person to tens of thousands of people during nearly 20 years of ministry.The Steve Wingfield Evangelistic Association Team has been involved in helping to organize these meetings and to train people from area churches about how to share their faith with others more effectively. The main purpose of these meetings is to benefit area residents through a closer walk with God through a personal faith in Jesus Christ, and help guide them into area churches for regular Bible study and spiritual growth. Steve previously pastored in Roanoke, Virginia, for seven years, hosted a daily radio broadcast, and founded the Roanoke Evangelical Ministerial Association. He is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Eastern Mennonite College. At Trinity, he served as a teaching assistant to Dr. Robert Coleman, author of the classic volume, The Master Plan of Evangelism. Steve was recognized for his achievements in evangelism and has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia. Steve has also served as a featured instructor at Billy Graham’s Institute for Emerging Evangelists at the Billy Graham Training Center in Asheville, North Carolina. Steve frequently speaks at retreats, conferences, universities and special events, and has personally trained thousands of people to share their faith more effectively. At the Tyndale Theological Seminary in Amsterdam, Netherlands, he teaches Introduction to Evangelism. Steve is the author of numerous articles, pamphlets and books including Live the Adventure published in 2001 by Thomas Nelson Publishers and Encountering God published in 2002 by 21st Century Press. He has most recently authored The Friendship Book published by World Publishers. Steve resides with his wife in Mt. Crawford, Virginia. They are the parents of two married children. They also have two grandsons and a granddaughter. |
